Israel Journey – Day 1

Monday, November 3rd
Day 1:
Shelley’s and my journey to the Promised Land began with our friend Pat, picking us up at 7:00 am and driving us to Detroit Metropolitan Airport, for a 10:15 am flight to the JFK Airport in New York City. There we had a five hour layover before our 10 hour flight to Tel Aviv. Israel is 7 hours ahead of Michigan’s EST. Thus, we arrived there at about 10:00 am Tuesday morning. I had prayed over the previous few weeks for, and about the person that would sit next to me on the long flight. He turned out to be a self-proclaimed “Orthodox Jewish rebel” from the Bronx, on his way to Israel, seeking his spiritual identity. God allowed me much time to witness to him about Jesus the Messiah! Thank you Lord!
Here we are after our arrival at the Mediterranean Seacoast.

Welcome to my blog!

Hello, my name is Rich O’Brien, author of At-Home Seminary . I’m so happy to have you as a visitor to my blog about the book and related topics. This project is very special to me, and I hope to share some of that excitement with you here.

I’ll be using this blog to interact with you about At-Home Seminary and other topics as led by God. I plan to expand on some of the matters covered in the book. This is a great place for you to get to know me, and I’m looking forward to getting to know you, too. If you have purchased and begun reading At-Home Seminary I would love to know what you think of it. Do you have questions for me? How do you relate to the book, (or anything else posted in these blogs)?

I’ll be returning here frequently with new posts and responses to feedback from you. I hope that you will tell me a little bit about yourself. I thank you for visiting!
